• Part Time - Office and Chamber Services Coordinator

    Position Summary:
    We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Office Assistant/Chamber Assistant to provide administrative support, assist with Chamber reception duties, and help ensure the smooth operation of events and functions. This part-time position reports directly to the Executive Director and requires a proactive approach to managing various tasks efficiently and professionally.

    Reception and Communication:

    • Respond to inquiries from Chamber members, guests, and the community via phone, email and in-person with professionalism and courtesy
    • Schedule conference room bookings for members and guests; conduct facility tours as needed
    Facilities and Maintenance:
    • Set up and clean up conference rooms, including managing catering and coffee services
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of facility, office equipment and meeting spaces
    Member and Community Engagement:
    • Oversee the Chamber’s information center on the first floor
    • Assist with sending thank you notes to members and other stakeholders
    • Address tenant and member concerns promptly and effectively
    • Proactively seek out new members while maintaining strong relationships with existing members
    Event Support:
    • Support the Director of Events with planning, sponsorship coordination, and logistics for chamber and tourism council events
    • Attend and assist with chamber events as needed
    • Help recruit volunteers and support committee activities
    Marketing and Social Media:
    • Contribute to marketing efforts, including print and digital content creation
    • Manage and update social media platforms, including content production, engagement monitoring and information distribution
    Administrative Tasks:
    • Assist with organizing event details such as décor, catering, entertainment and logistics
    • Support the gathering of sponsorships for events
    • And other duties as assigned by the Executive Director 
    Physical Requirements:
    • Able to stand and walk for an extended period of time; including but not limited to bending, crawling, stooping, lifting
    • Able to carry at least 30 pounds
    • Able to sit at a desk comfortably while working on a computer for an extended period of time
    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional administrative or office management certification is a plus.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office/Google/Excel) and social media platforms.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
    • Experience in event planning or a related field is an advantage.
    • A positive attitude, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
    Work Schedule:
    • Part-time position, hours to be determined based on the needs of the Chamber and events.
